Macroscopic descriptionYellow, light brown and pink coloured Balikesir Onyx Marble has been occured along a fault zone in the recrystallized limestone of the Mesozoic age. Dimensions of partly acicular textured recrystallized aragonite, crystals vary between 0,04-7 mm.

Petrographic descriptionThis onyx marble exhibits 0,04-7 mm primary aragonite micro-crystals with acicular texture due to recrystallization.
